French brand April77 and Canadian designer Calla Haynes have joined forces to create a high-end, psychedelic and modern den- im capsule collection. Embellished with Calla’s all-over digi- tal prints, this womenswear collection takes on the cult silhouettes of April 77: The Joey Lady and Marky jean and the Beat Jacket.

“The brand, CALLA, is based on the idea of relaxed luxury, so it was im- portant to me to propose jeans to my client. I asked April 77 to work with me because they are just honestly my favourite denim brand! I wear them all the time. For this collaboration, we discussed mixing our two worlds together into a theme called ‘Romantic Rights’ - a vision that is both ro- mantic and very rock and roll. For the print designs, I imagined a girl, in love, at a summer music festival and how she feels. I tried to communi- cate the heat, the nature and the music in abstract patterns.” Calla Haynes.

La marque française April77 et la créatrice canadienne Calla Haynes s’associent à travers une collection de denim psychédélique, mod- erne et haut de gamme. Articulée autour des imprimés all over de Calla, la collection, exclusivement féminine, reprend les silhouettes cultes d’April77 avec les jeans Joey Lady et Marky et la veste Beat.

“La marque CALLA est basée sur l’idée d’un luxe décontracté, et je sou- haitais dans cette logique élargir mon offre en proposant une gamme de jeans à ma clientèle. J’ai fait appel à April77 car c’est ma marque de jeans préférée, je les porte tout le temps. Pour cette collaboration, nous avons mé- langé nos deux mondes dans un thème “Romantic Rights”, une vision à la fois romantique et très rock’n’roll. Pour les imprimés, j’ai imaginé une fille, amoureuse, à un festival de musique en été. J’ai essayé de communiquer la

chaleur, la nature et la musique dans des motifs abstraits.” Calla Haynes.
